Final Culminating Assignment – Gum Package
I wanted to show that my gum is very exhilarating and cool. I wanted to make it look very attractive to excite people into buying it. I achieved this by making the gum pack design very bright with some designs in them. I also created a seductive tagline to make people want to try the gum inside. I also created a name for my gum called “Rush” with goes really well with the tagline to make my gum look like people will want it.
b) Who are you targeting your gum to? How did you achieve this?
My gum package is targeted to young teens and young adults. I achieved this by using bright and strong colours to make it look appealing. I used a creative name and tagline to get my target market to get interested in my gum.
c) What area in your design did you use Photoshop?
I used Photoshop to make the background of the gum package. I also used it to change the DPI to 150 for the barcodeand Nutrition Fact.

I custom designed the background with Photoshop. I used a simple colour of red and tried out several effects to make the background look very attractive. I wanted to make my background very different, since I didn’t want to use just a solid colour or else the design wouldn’t look very original. I used the filter, lens flare to make my background look interesting and original. Also, I used Illustrator to make the cursive letter R. I used the pen tool several times to make the ‘R’ look very elegant and very original.
