Final Culminating Assignment – Gum Package
I used Photoshop to make the background of the gum package. I also used it to change the DPI to 150 for the barcodeand Nutrition Fact.
vectors or free stock photography. What part of your gum package did you custom design?
I custom designed the background with Photoshop. I used a simple colour of red and tried out several effects to make the background look very attractive. I wanted to make my background very different, since I didn’t want to use just a solid colour or else the design wouldn’t look very original. I used the filter, lens flare to make my background look interesting and original. Also, I used Illustrator to make the cursive letter R. I used the pen tool several times to make the ‘R’ look very elegant and very original.

1. What does your logo/ tattoo represent?
My logo basically represents my nickname, “Geethi” that everyone usually calls me instead of my full name. Also, I have my last name “Sehgal” in my logo. I wanted to have my name as my logo because I want to represent my “creative identity” and make my logo more recognizable and easy to remember when people look at it.
2. How did you design your logo/ tattoo to represent this?
I designed my logo by having an arrow point at my name to make it look like my name is of great importance. I created my intials G.S. by using the pen tool. I just wanted to add a touch of my own creativity and make this my own design. I made the rest of my name using small letters to create that clean organized by having it in a staright line. I made some of the of the letters in capital letters and reduced the font to show my own way of writing my name. At the end, I put a star to show that this logo is important and has great value. It’s just like when you put a star beside important information or something you need to remember. I incorporated that into the logo to show the same reason.
